Research Area:

  • Network and Web Security
  • Statistical-based Intrusion/Anomaly Detection Techniques

However, in ITS my research is focused on various areas related to Tamazight studies in terms of using technology to develop, analyze and solve language and media related research problems. For example, Natural Languaage Processing (NLP) using computing & statistical models such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions as well as corpora generation as follows:

  • Tamazight Language Processing
  • Tamazight Speech Recognition
  • Statistical-based NLP techniques
  • Computer Aided Language Teaching Tools
  • Tamazight Corpora Generation
  • Manuscript Digitization
  • Tifinagh Script Processing
  • Internet-based Media Technologies and Development

Professional Honour:

In 2003, awarded (The Donn B Parker Award) in London, from the publisher Emerald as a result of the selection for his paper titled “An Intelligent Approach to Prevent Distributed Systems Attacks”. This paper is published at The Journal of Information Management and Computer Security (JIM&CS), Volume 10, Issue 5, October 2002, pp. 203 - 209. It has been selected as the most “Outstanding Paper” in the 2002 volume by Emerald Literati Club Awards for Excellence 2003, UK.
