The Centre for Archaeology Research (CAR) is a proper educational and research resource that characterises a forum for the Archaeology research in the Tamazgha/North Africa region. Long time ago about 8000 years, possibly earlier, a critical period of time in human history and culture, the Amazigh in general and Libyans in particular were creating engravings of objects that are symbolised to reflect their cultural value found in their environments. Thousands of engravings and rich concentrations of rock art objects with fascinating evidence have been identified. The CAR focuses on delivering knowledge and expertise in the north africa archaeology at Postgraduate research level in a friendly and supportive working cyberspace environment. The CAR tries to attract external funding for its research and is already involved with a range of research projects. Also, we are trying to build collaborative ties with the society of Libyan studies in the UK. All academic activities in our institution are carried out by academics and professionals who are committed to work in this area covering various aspects of archaeology such as rock arts, etc...
